# Pomororo > Pomororo (https://pomororo.com) is a free Pomodoro timer. It does not require an account. Focus, short break, and long break lengths are edited on the timer screen. When a focus block ends, Pomororo waits for a choice instead of starting a break, unless auto-start is turned on. Tasks and history stay in the browser. After the first visit the timer works offline. Blocking is the Chrome companion, off until the person adds domains. - Auto-start break exists in settings and is off by default. - There is no cloud account and no cross-device sync. - Pomororo is not a task manager, streak game, or forest app. - 52/17 is a custom duration, not a named preset. - This file does not link a Chrome Web Store listing. - The web timer keeps the screen awake only while the Pomororo tab is open and a focus block is running. Pausing, ending the block, letting the time run out, or starting a break lets the screen sleep. A break timer does not hold the screen. Leaving the tab may release the lock; returning while focus is still running requests it again. The countdown stays correct either way. There is no setting. The Chrome extension does not do this. Closing the laptop lid still sleeps the computer. ## Questions ### Does Pomororo require an account? No. Pomororo is a free Pomodoro timer with no signup. Tasks and focus history stay in the browser. ### Can I change the Pomodoro length from 25 minutes? Yes. Focus, short break, and long break lengths are on the timer screen. Presets include 25/5, 50/10, 90/15, and 15/3, and any other length becomes Custom. ### Does Pomororo force a break when the timer ends? No. The block stops and you choose a break, extra minutes, or another focus block. Auto-start break is off unless you turn it on. ### Can Pomororo block distracting websites? The website timer does not block other sites. The Chrome companion can block domains you add, only while a focus block is running or paused, and it starts off. ### Will my screen stay on during a focus block? Yes, while the Pomororo tab is open and a focus block is running. Pausing, ending the block, or starting a break lets the screen sleep.
